Bangladesh Research and Education Network (BdREN) participated in the DIU Book Fair 2026, a three-day literary and academic festival held from 09 to 11 August 2026 at Daffodil International University, Daffodil Smart City (DSC), Birulia, Savar, Dhaka. The fair was jointly organised by the Daffodil International University Library and Daffodil International University Press under the theme "বইঃ পড়ুন, জানুন, অনুপ্রাণিত হোন" — Read Books, Learn, Be Inspired.                                                                                                  

The three-day program drew a remarkable turnout of visitors from across the campus and beyond, bringing together students, faculty members, researchers, publishers, alumni, and general book lovers under one roof. Alongside a large book exhibition featuring national publishers, the fair hosted academic book showcases, new book launches, author meet-and-greet sessions, literary discussions, reading promotion activities, club performances, and an awards and recognition ceremony.

Throughout the three days, the BdREN stall remained a busy point of engagement. Members of the BdREN team distributed leaflets, brochures and annual reports among visiting students, teachers, researchers and institutional representatives, and held direct conversations on the network's connectivity services, eResources consortium, cloud and data centre facilities, video conferencing platform, and the range of research and education support services BdREN offers to its member institutions. The fair proved to be a valuable platform for BdREN to reach the academic community directly and to strengthen its visibility among the next generation of researchers.

At the inauguration ceremony, BdREN Chief Marketing Officer Ekhlas Uddin Ahmed delivered valuable remarks. In his address, he underscored the enduring importance of books and reading in shaping enquiring minds, and noted that BdREN's mission of connecting universities and research institutions through a dedicated high-speed network complements exactly this pursuit — bringing knowledge, in print and in digital form, within the reach of every student and researcher in the country. He congratulated Daffodil International University for organizing a fair that places reading at the center of campus life.

At the closing ceremony, Biplab Chandra Mahanta, Manager (Sales), BdREN, addressed the audience with a speech appreciating the organisers for their initiative. He highlighted the value that such programs bring to students and the wider academic community, observing that a book fair on campus does more than sell books — it builds reading habits, encourages intellectual exchange between authors and readers, and creates a lasting culture of inquiry. He thanked the Daffodil International University Library and Daffodil International University Press for extending BdREN the opportunity to be part of the celebration, and expressed BdREN's continued interest in supporting similar knowledge-promotion initiatives across member universities.
