BdREN Hosts “Meet & Greet 2026” to Strengthen University Collaboration
BdREN Hosts “Meet & Greet 2026”, a Service awareness workshop to enrich Research and Education Through strengthening Collaboration with Private Universities of Dhaka and around.
The Bangladesh Research and Education Network (BdREN) successfully organized the “Meet & Greet 2026” on 23 April at the UGC Auditorium, aiming to enhance collaboration among UGC, BdREN, and private universities for the advancement of research and education in Bangladesh.
A total of 85 representatives from 41 private universities across Dhaka participated in the program, reflecting strong interest in building a connected and collaborative academic ecosystem. The event was chaired by BdREN’s Chief Executive Officer, Mohammad Tawrit, while the welcome speech was delivered by Chief Marketing Officer- Ekhlas Uddin Ahmed.
Professor Dr. Mohammad Anwar Hossen, Member of UGC, attended as the Chief Guest and highlighted the importance of BdREN’s services in ensuring global competitiveness in education. Special Guest Dr. Sultan Mahmud Bhuiyan, Director of the Private University Management Division, emphasized the need to strengthen research capacity in private universities.
Three distinguished representatives from private universities - Prof. Dr. Mostafa Mahmud Hasan, Dean, Faculty of Business, Khwaja Yunus Ali University; Prof. Khawza Iftekhar Uddin, Pro-VC, Green University of Bangladesh; and Dr. Md. Zahid Hossain Shoeb, Librarian, North South University, also spoke at the event. They expressed gratitude to BdREN and shared their expectations for deeper collaboration and easier access to eResources for research and academic development.
In his remarks, CEO Mohammad Tawrit reaffirmed BdREN’s commitment to expanding services across all universities. The program concluded with a shared vision of strengthening innovation, research excellence, and institutional collaboration nationwide.
