Students from ECE Department, KUET Visit BdREN Data Center
A group of students from the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) of Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET), accompanied by two faculty members, visited the Bangladesh Research and Education Network (BdREN) Data Center today as part of an academic exposure program.
The visit began with a warm welcome address delivered by BdREN’s Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), who highlighted BdREN’s role in strengthening the digital and research infrastructure of academic and research institutions across Bangladesh. The CMO also delivered the concluding remarks, encouraging the students to explore future opportunities in advanced networking, data center technologies, and research-oriented IT services.
During the visit, Mr. Jamilur Rahman and Mr. Md. Ariful Islam Arman presented an overview of BdREN and its key services. Their presentation covered BdREN’s nationwide research and education network, data center facilities, internet bandwidth services, cloud and data services, and BdREN’s contribution to supporting teaching, learning, and research activities in universities and research organizations.
The students actively participated in the session and showed keen interest in understanding real-world applications of networking and data center operations. BdREN believes that such initiatives help bridge the gap between academic learning and practical experience.
