BdREN Signs agreement with BCC to Provide Zoom Services to Government Agencies
Dhaka, May 20, 2025 — Bangladesh Research and Education Network (BdREN) has signed an agreement with Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) to provide Zoom video conferencing services to government agencies across the country.
This agreement falls under the ICT Division’s initiative titled “Strengthening of Government Video Conferencing Platform Project”, which aims to modernize and expand the government’s capacity for virtual meetings and communications through a secured and reliable platform.
On behalf of BdREN, Mr. Mohammad Tawrit, Chief Executive Officer, and Mr. Biswajit Tarapder, Project Director of the Strengthening of Government Video Conferencing Platform Project, signed the MoU. From the ICT Division, Mr. Shish Haider Chowdhury, ndc, MCIPS (CS), Secretary of the Information and Communication Technology Division, Ministry of Posts, Telecommunication and Information Technology, was present to witness the signing.
Also present at the ceremony were Dr. Muhammed Mehedi Hassan, Executive Director, BCC; Dr. Mohammad Farooq Ali Tarafder, FCMA, ACS, Chief Accounts and Finance Officer, BdREN; and Md. Ariful Islam, Manager (Data & Transmission), BdREN.
This collaboration between BdREN and the BCC is expected to significantly enhance the digital capacity of government institutions, enabling more efficient and secure video conferencing for administrative and policy-related operations.
