'Agreement' Signing Ceremony on Developing and Implementing Certificate Verification Portal at BUP by BdREN
The renowned Public University- BUP (Bangladesh University of Professionals) offered BdREN (Bangladesh Research and Education Network), sometime early this year (2024), to prepare an online Certificate Verification Portal which would allow concerned individuals or Institutes to verify various Certificates issued by BUP for its students. BdREN agreed and then developed this certification portal free of charge as a token of friendly gesture based on long term relationship between these two institutions- BUP and BdREN. The first phase of this portal is already in operation where concerned institutes or individuals will be able to verify Certificates issued by BUP through online web-based verification by putting Name and Registration number in the portal. The second phase of this certificate verification portal is also developed and ready for implementation where hardcopy Certificates will be verified through scanning a QR code imprinted on the Certificate. This will also be in Operation by BUP soon. In the third phase, BdREN will prepare a 'System' by which softcopy of the Certificates also can be verified, remotely. All these methods are based on fully encrypted communication and therefore 100% authenticity is ensured. Once adopted by all the universities in the country, this will hopefully usher a new era where there will be no more fake certificates to befool the world.
For Operation and Maintenance of this Certificate Verification Portal, an Agreement has been signed between BUP and BdREN on 24th of September, 2024 at BUP premises. This Agreement was signed by respected Treasurer of BUP, Air Commodore Md Reza Emdad Khan, ndc, psc, GD (P) and the Chief Executive Officer of BdREN, Mohammad Tawrit. Other distinguished delegates from both the parties, also were present in the Signing Ceremony.
