BdREN and BOU Collaborate to enhance Campus Network Infrastructure
On 18 November 2023, Bangladesh Research and Education Network (BdREN) and Bangladesh Open University (BOU) entered into a significant partnership for the delivery of maintenance support service of the campus network infrastructure of BOU. It is the 7th campus that has come under the purview of Campus Network Maintenance intervention of BdREN, a latest initiative by BdREN to ensure the quality performance of the installed network.
The signing ceremony was presided over by Prof. Mostafa Azad Kamal, Treasurer, Bangladesh Open University with the attendance from the other dignitaries from his office. As part of the agreement, BdREN will be responsible for maintaining and improving BOU's Campus Network, thereby enhancing the university's digital connectivity and technological capabilities. Prof. Mostafa Azad Kamal, Treasurer, Bangladesh Open University, signed the agreement on behalf of the university, marking a pivotal moment in the university's efforts to streamline network performance which frames the backbone of quality research and education. On behalf of BdREN, Mohammad Tawrit, the Chief Executive Officer, signed the agreement, reaffirming BdREN's commitment to supporting its member institutes in achieving their objectives.
The signing ceremony was attended by other distinguished individuals, including Md. Masum Billah, Director (In-Charge), Computer Division, and Md. Ariful Islam, Manager (Data and Transmission) of BdREN. Their presence underscored the importance of this collaboration in advancing the technological capabilities of the University. This partnership signifies a significant step forward in BdREN’s ongoing efforts to ameliorate research and academic activities in its member institutes.
