BdREN organizes a Kick-off Workshop on Connectivity of 120 Colleges under IDG, CEDP
On Thursday, March 30, 2023, a kick-off meeting was held with stakeholders of the College Education Development Project (CEDP) at the UGC Auditorium in Agargaon. The meeting marked the start of the project implementation by BdREN, following the signing of a partnership agreement with National University earlier in the month.
Representatives from 13 beneficiary colleges of the CEDP in the capital, along with representatives from the World Bank, University Grants Commission of Bangladesh, National University, and the CEDP itself, attended the meeting. The event was hosted by BdREN, the project implementing entity.
The program was inaugurated by Mohammad Tawrit, the Chief Executive Officer of BdREN, who provided insights into the agreement clauses to help the beneficiaries better understand the project nature. Md. Ariful Islam, Manager of Data and Transmission at BdREN and Project Manager, presented a detailed overview of BdREN network across the country through which the IDG colleges will be connected.
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Alamgir, Member of UGC and Board of Trustee at BdREN, presided over the meeting.
